It’s no secret, homes are just not selling. The Stratford real estate market stinks if you are trying to sell a house on town. However, if you want to buy a house this is the best “buyer’s market” in a very long time.

I know you have heard it from real estate agent before. I see this crap all the time: NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY A HOUSE, NOW IS A GREAT TIME TO INVEST IN REAL ESTATE!!!

We’ll now I am going to say it. I’m just not going to scream it from the rooftops and shove it in your face. I’ll summarize this entire blog post for you in two sentences.

• I truly believe that now really is a better time to buy a house than we have seen in decades. The low interest rates that are available to you if you are responsible with your credit, combined with the low value of homes is making for some amazing real estate bargains.

Short term real estate purchases would be a bad idea as prices are still falling. Who knows how long it will be before Stratford home values make a U-turn and begin the slow climb back up. It could still be years before we see those house values in Stratford turn the corner.

If you are considering buying a house here in Stratford you can’t even think of moving for probably at least ten years. You’ll need some time to allow the value of your house to climb back up before you sell it again.
