You’re looking at about 1650 square feet here with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There’s a formal dining room and it looks like some living area in the basement. Throw in a two car garage and you have my ideal house.

There’s even an oval shaped pool. Looks like it’s pretty big from the pictures as well.

What I like most about this house on Delaware Drive is the fact that it needs some updating. It’s definitely move in condition but your not paying top dollar for a completely remodeled home. Bring 60 Delaware Drive out of the eighties and into the twenty first century and you’ve added instant equity.

The overgrown hedges out front are also detracting from just house nice this house looks from the outside. A little landscaping will go a long way here.

You don’t see many home like this that are still in such great shape. This tudor has history, class, and charm all wrapped up into a neat little package.

Six fireplace! Are you kidding me! I would love that! I don’t think I have ever used so many exclamation marks in a paragraph before.

It looks like there may be a tin ceiling in the kitchen. Probably not original though as there is recessed lighting.

From the pictures it looks to me like there has been extensive renovations to restore this house. I think a lot of the original details are no longer there but the homeowner did a wonderful job restoring the home to honor the original construction.

The kitchen boasts granite countertops and a full boat of appliances. I really like the open floor plan between the living room and the dining room. There is a half wall between the two with a pair of columns. The dining room has sliding doors that go outside to the deck that make the space seem very open and large. This is one of my favorite remodeling tricks to really open up a space.

There’s a bonus room off of the dining room that is accessible through a pair of french doors. It could be used as a den or a playroom for a family with children.

The deck out back seems really big and the size of the property is a manageable size at .25 acres.

Summer Street is in a nice neighborhood here in Stratford. I actually live just a couple blocks away. When my sister was looking to buy a house in Stratford we looked at nearly every house for sale in that area. We became intimately familiar with the neighborhood.

I like the one car garage and the green accent wall at the fireplace.The tile surround is a really nice touch. The intricately detailed mantel also looks great in picture.

There are lots of rich, warm browns throughout the home. My favorites is are the browns in the hardwood floor. I think I would describe the color as a saddle maple. It’s a rich brown hue.

I see a fixture that looks like oil rubber bronze on the granite counter top in bathroom. Nice touch!

There are no pictures of the kitchen. I am curious to see what it looks like. This home is offered for sale by National Homes Realty. I can however show you the house. This colonial is nicely proportioned and in my opinion, needs the perfect amount of updating. Not much is new but nothing is old. Everything appears to be in great shape! It’s the type of house you can move into right away and update things to your liking when you are ready.

I like the floor plan of this Stratford home too. The staircase is on the outside wall making the rooms on the first floor very large. The living room spans the entire width of the house! The fireplace is in the center of the home and it’s the focal point of the living room.

This home is offered for sale by Prudential CT of Fairfield but of course I would be more than happy to show it to you. I’d like to see it myself and check out the layout of the second floor. It’s an older house and I bet the basement would would have an interesting story to tell through its construction.

A first floor laundry room is also an added bonus as well as the one and a half bedrooms. The school district is a desirable one that includes: Eli Whitney Elementary School, Flood Middle School, and Bunnell High School.

I have seen many different types of fireplaces in homes here in Stratford CT. There are a lot of center chimney colonials here with the fireplace in the middle of the house.
